Provide MK41 Certified TD Test Director or SMT System Maintenance Technician support for installation and checkout for the DDG ship building program in Bath, Maine.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: --Provides work direction to field service teams or multiple teams on multiple tasks. Provides necessary training to ensure internal and external requirements are met. --May plan, estimate, and schedule required personnel and equipment for field service projects. Manages projects to cost schedule, quality and safety standards --May resolve sensitive field service issues such as scheduling conflicts and funding concerns with customers. --Assembles, installs, tests, maintains, and repairs products and ensures products are in compliance with customer requirements. --Analyzes system deficiencies and provides input to recommended design changes to engineering. --Troubleshoots technical issues to the component level, such as subsystem failures, mechanical and servo system misalignments. Documents the problem, develops procedures and communicates recommended corrective action to the customer. --Serves as point of contact with customers, suppliers, and division management regarding schedules, technical issues and administrative matters. --Performs pre-overhaul system inspections and prepares detailed reports outlining discrepancies and recommended corrective actions. --May make formal presentations to various customers, division management on issues such as job performance metrics, schedules, and job safety. --May serve as on-board technical expert during ship trials at sea. --Maintains configuration control databases and responsible for all logistics functions for assigned field service projects. --Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications. Advises management on new developments and programs. --May direct the work of less senior personnel. --Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies. --Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Required Skills and Education High School Diploma or equivalent plus 11 years relevant experience; or relevant Associate degree plus 7 years relevant experience; or relevant Bachelor's degree plus 5 years relevant experience.
--Experience to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, repair casualties, and perform pre-overhaul inspections. --MK41 VLS ISEA/ FSR certification per VLS standing instruction 86-2C. --Minimum of 6 Years VLS related experience in the following areas: --Installation and Checkout (INCO), ORDALT Installations, and CASREP Support. --VLS to Combat Systems Integration. --Engineering Development (new missile integration ) Programs

Preferred Skills and Education --A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. --Certain positions may require specialized technical knowledge.
