business in Canada and invest in bringing top performers to Stryker.

The role of Human Resources Recruiter is critical to help maintain and promote
the unique culture of Stryker through a focus on attracting and retaining the
highest level of talent. The successful candidate will work closely with
hiring managers to identify talent for Stryker and will manage the full cycle
recruitment process for all open positions, as well as establish and execute
the recruitment strategy for all of Canada. This individual must serve as a
contributing member of the Human Resources team while championing Stryker’s
mission and values.

Individual Responsibilities:

• Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a
culture of inclusiveness and cooperation

• Responsible to live and drive Stryker’s five success factors: Quality
First, Customer Experience, Innovation, People Development, and Financial

Functional Responsibilities:

• Partner with Directors and Managers within Stryker Canada to identify the
strongest candidates for new and replacement positions

• Manage the full cycle recruitment process for Canada (including sourcing,
screening, interviewing, scheduling, background checks, offer negotiation,
and orientation assistance) for vacant roles across all functions in Canada
(Sales, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, Supply
Chain and Distribution, and Human Resources)

• Create and maintain the sourcing and career events calendar for Canada
(including campus, diversity, ex-military recruitment events and

• Partner with selected University Campuses to drive ongoing campus
recruitment efforts

• Create and manage the entire Stryker Achieving Professional Experience
(APEX) Internship Program in Canada

• Sourcing and negotiating partnerships with national recruiters and
head-hunters to assist with hiring needs

• Assist HR Team with on-boarding strategies and employee recognition

• Represent HR and the recruitment function as a credible business partner
in order to drive growth and performance through a talent offense

• Liaise with the US Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (COE) leaders
and team members to stay up to date on new recruitment and sourcing trends,
tools, and best practices for Stryker

• Liaise with Gallup and partner with HR Business Partner to lead Gallup
profile evaluation and discussions with hiring team, and best practices for

• Plan, evaluate, research and/or recommend systemic and/or process
improvements for the recruitment and HR function

• Own  and monitor the Healthcare
Professional (HCP), Global Employee Referral Program, and Global Internal
Mobility programs and policies for Canada

• Assist Communications Associate with employment branding initiatives and
community involvement events

• Assist in the compilation and/or preparation of confidential reports,
statistics, graphs, and/or files for the HR function on a weekly, monthly,
quarterly, and annual basis

• Represent Canada on all global recruitment calls and initiatives as

• Continually develop positive employee relations climate focusing on high
commitment, teamwork, and effective communication

Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a related discipline; preferably in business

Enrollment in/interest in pursuing or completion of Canadian Human Resource Professional certificate program preferred

2-5+ years of Recruiting or sourcing experience in a corporate or agency environment

Familiarity and experience with technology such as LinkedIn, Twitter, online job boards, Applicant Tracking Systems (Kenexa preferred) and Candidate Relationship Management systems (Avature preferred)
